About Us

We are a volunteer community band based in the Town of Whitby, Ontario, Canada. Founded in 1863, 2023 marked our 160th Anniversary! Our current membership is about 36 players and we feature a traditional British Brass format, using instruments unique to that style of band.

A Brass Band presents a dynamic, bright sound, unique in the music world. If you have never heard us play, take a look at the schedule posted on the events page for upcoming dates and locations. 

The Whitby Brass Band performs at a variety of parades, events and other functions throughout the year. If you would like to book the band for a job, please email us, or write to us at the address on our Contact Us page. We will be happy to discuss any fees once we have details of your request.
